Nowadays everything has its price and we’re able to calculate quickly what we can afford and the things we can’t. Some people enjoy luxuries while others can barely afford anything. Still, it is not merely about how much we earn. Poverty has many shapes and sizes and appears in the most developed countries as well. Many people fail to notice this because they associate poverty with an image of a malnourished child who has, due to various circumstances, been denied a normal social and cultural life in their community. I’d like to put focus on people who are emotionally poor – they seem to have everything, but still feel they live in shortage. They lack genuine contact, a sincere smile, warm embrace, open arms and a pair of ears to listen to them. Thus, we can draw a line and realize that we meet various groups of people on different continents, who share one thing – inhibited integration into everyday life. I firmly believe we can surpass such exclusion. Don’t turn a blind eye to people in need!
